Scituate Health Access Program
Clinical
Lab Voucher
The Scituate Health Alliance
Committee takes great pleasure in announcing the introduction of the “Scituate
Health Access Program Clinical Lab Voucher”. This unique program was developed
right here in Scituate as part of the Scituate Health Plan. The program is
designed to provide funding for clinical Lab tests associated with a patient’s
annual physical, including a PAP Smear for female patients, and a Diabetes Panel
when requested by the physician. This voucher is offered in conjunction with the
Scituate Health Access Program for low-income Scituate residents who do not have
any health insurance. Please read information on the Health Access Program
elsewhere on this website to see if you qualify for the program. Committee
fundraising and outside grants will cover the cost of the program for those who
meet the federal low-income guidelines. Please contact the Health Alliance
Committee at P.O. Box 88 in North Scituate (02857) or contact the Town Clerk’s
office for details.
The Scituate Health Plan,
when initiated, will be a comprehensive health plan that will provide local
accessible and affordable health care for all Scituate residents who join the
plan. The Scituate Health Access program Clinical Voucher is another step in
that direction, and hopefully will insure that everyone in Scituate has access
to a physician for at least primary care services and basic clinical tests.
“If you don’t have your
health, you don’t have anything”
Please contact our committee or the
Town Clerk’s office and take advantage of this unique new program.
Thank You,
John Marchant
Committee Chairman
